About Us

Over the years Ankur's list of accomplishments have tremendously grown. The Club has organised free eye camps under the Harsha Vardhana Motiwala Charitable trust, with the close supervising of trained doctors. We have installed Tube wells at the Lepers Colony in R.K.Puram. From time to time we have worked with organisations like Palna, Prabhadevi Institute for the Handicapped, Mother Teresa`s Orphanage, Tikri Slums and have donated books, furniture, toys and clothes. Ankur has played its role efficiently by organising funds for the benefit of the Kargil soldiers, Cyclone victims at Orissa and for the draught victims in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Ankur has over the years, been working in close association with Sahan, an institute for the Mentally Impaired Children. It also has been very supportive towards Udyan, a home for orphan children, run by Mrs Kiran Modi. Ankur also constructed a music room in the home and musical instruments were also donated. India Vision Foundation, the chair person being Dr. Kiran Bedi. Carry forwarded projects in the field of prison reforms, drug abuse prevention, child welfare, crime prevention, empowerment of women and mentally disability through support from Ankur.

To give as much as we can, our "fund managers" have masterminded many innovative and entertaining events to maximize resources and get generous funding.

‘The Rakhi Bazaar’ is the biggest fund raiser event we hold annually, a must-attend in the social calendar of Delhites with an attendance of over 7000-8000 visitors. Among them many are page three celebrities and the cream ‘o’ cream of Delhi. All the proceeds of the event go to charity. The event has been graced by Chief Guests such as Nafisa Ali, Pratibha Advani, Renna Dhaka, Gul parag, Shweta Nanda, Sheila Dixit, Dr.Geeta Chandran, Aruna Dalmia, Anjali Ela Menon, Sushma Seth, Manpreet Brar and Shalu Jindal.
